Yoga

Yoga means “union” in Sanskrit and is a vital way to re-connect with ourselves and create unity of mind, body and spirit. The practice of pranyama (breathing), asanas (postures), savasana (relaxation) & meditation, improves concentration, flexibility, muscle tone, stamina and the immune system.

Yoga reduces stress and increases one’s sense of well-being. Through regualar yoga practice you begin to cultivate a relationship between the mind, body and breath. When you function from your center you are more calm, focused, and balanced approaching life from a grounded perspective.

Yoga practice begins the moment you enter the Lotus Center…

All classes start on time
Bring a mat.
Bring water, to keep hydrated.
Remove shoes…yoga is practiced
   barefoot.
  Practice yoga on a relatively empty stomach.
Wear loose clothing that stretches with you.
Refrain from use of fragrances, as some
  individuals have allergies or sensitivities.
Remember to turn off cell phones and beepers
Arrive early, to ensure your place
